Removing Trojan Horse
Get rid of those annoying Trojan Horse viruses!
In the computing world, a Trojan horse is a destructive program that acts like a benign application or program. Trojan horses do not copy themselves like viruses, but they are capable of being just as destructive. One of the most annoying and invasive types of Trojan horses is a program that acts like an anti-virus scanner, and when it is downloaded to your computer in the intent of getting rid of viruses, instead of getting rid of them, it introduces other viruses onto your computer system.
The term “Trojan horse” originates from the Greek account of the Trojan War. During the end of this war, the attacking Greek army builds a huge horse made of wood and offers it as a peace offering to the Trojans. The rulers of Troy then drag the offered horse into the center of their city walls. In the nighttime, Greek soldiers descend from inside the hollow horse and open the city gates. This allows the rest of their army to pour into the depths of the city, which subsequently capture and burn the city of Troy.
There are a lot of different classifications of Trojan horses based on the way that they breach computer systems and by the severity of the damage that they cause. The main types of Trojan horses are Destructive, Proxy, Denial-of-Service, Remote Access, Data Sending, Security Software Disabler, and FTP. Each of these does different things, all of which can be destructive, but most are just extremely annoying.
